This is the tenth time that I'm here.

What is your impression of Holland?

I just love it! It's a very free country.

Did you really think that everybody in Holland walked on clogs?

Yes. You know I'm from the States and that is what they teach us at school. And apparently they tell don't always tell us the truth, cause this is my tenth time already and I've never seen anyone walk on clogs. You're all very cool and normal.

How long do you intend to stay?

I have to leave very soon, I have to go to Zürich. I can only stay in Holland for a day. It's too bad cause it's very nice over here especially now the sun is shining.

So this is kinda a promotour that you are making, isn't it?

Yes, I'm promoting my new album and of course my new single "Daily". I'm touring through almost entire Europe. I have already visited the UK, France and Scandanavia. Tomorrow I visit Zürich and after that I'm going to Germany.Visiting Europe is great, the fans are great and also the weather is tremendous. What could I want more?

At which age did you know that you wanted to become a singer?

When I was 8, I saw Micheal Jackson doing the moonwalk. Ever since I'm into music.

Is there anybody who taught you to sing?

When I was young a I was member of a church choir. My mom also was a member of that church choir so she was my role model. At home we always listened Stevie Wonder. I learnt the R&B style on the streets from my homies.

Is there a group or singer that you admire?

Yes. Absolutely Prince, He's a genius! Prince can play so many instruments and he mixes all kinds of different styles of music. Prince composes such good songs. It doesn't matter what kind of song it is, a love song or another song, he"s just the best!

Do you have some advice for those Yellow Members who wants to become a artist?

I'm not going to tell them how to get started, cause there are so many ways to become famous. Of course you have to make a good demo tape, but it's not a guarantee that you will become famous even if you spend your last dime on that demo. The only advice I can give them is: Just be yourself, you will be respected for that. Even if you are born with big orange afrohair, just be yourself, that's the most important.

You also write your own lyrics, are those lyrics based on your own life experiences?

Yes, but of course It didn't all happened to myself, I also write about homies that have been through something. I prefer to write about things that really happend. I just wanna share my storie with everybody.

Are your homies also on this promotour?

Yes, The people who are hanging around me are the people that I grew up with. They all have their own job. My cousin takes care of the security, and my brother is my road manager. It's good having them with me. At least then I don't feel so lonely.

Do you like being a celeberty, or are there also disavantages?

Yes, of course I like it, but it also depends which mood I'm in. I'm not in a good mood today cause the sun is shining and I'm inside doing interviews. But it's all part of beeing a celeberty. I have to make my fans happy. I mean they buy my albums so I have to do something in return for them. It ain't a big sacrifice, cause I love to meet fans. I also have my crazy days when I give autographs away the whole day. I don't have problems with fans chasing me cause when I'm in the States I usually go hang out with my homies.
